The Museum School uses the Everyday Math program. This program gives students many opportunities to use math to solve problems applicable to real life situations, and provides many hands on experiences to practice skills. A unique aspect of this program is that students learn a variety of ways to solve problems and are given opportunities to reflect on their own learning. In second grade students will continue to develop their number sense, and will understand place values up to five-digits. We will begin exploring multiplication and division, fractions, and will work with two and three dimensional shapes in geometry.
